Referring to the F&N UNITED LIMITED was notified regarding the contamination of Saccharin in their products 7 items such as:

     (1) Magnolia Chocolate

     (2) Magnolia Cravio Chocolate Flavoured

     (3) Magnolia Trio Bite Vanilla Flavoured

     (4) Magnolia Mag A Cone Chocolate

     (5) Magnolia Neapolitan

     (6) Magnolia Mag A Cone Vanilla

     (7) Magnolia Cravio Choco Berry

     The Department of Livestock Development (DLD), as Thailand Competent Authority for ice cream, has carried out the investigation into this matter and found the following results:

     1. The establishment collected ice cream samples from the same production batches exported to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar to test for the presence of Saccharine by laboratory of Department of Medical Sciences (DMSc), Ministry of Public Health, Thailand. All samples were analyzed on October 2 and October 8, 2024. The results were all negative and complied with the regulation, confirm that there is no saccharin in products of this establishment.

     2. During the investigation at F&N UNITED LIMITED (EST.350), we found that the product labels, ingredients, production reports, and incoming raw material inspections passed establishment qualification standard, no use of Saccharin as a sweetener was found in the ice cream products. No trace of Saccharin was found in the establishment’s raw material storage, this indicates that Saccharin was not part of the inventory of ingredients used for manufacturing the ice cream products.
